A message from Our Pastor….…  

   I have had the privilege to be pastor of First Baptist Church since February 1, 1987.  The people of this congregation are warm, friendly, and genuinely caring. We are richly blessed with growth in every area of church life.  Our strong and active church ministries are rich blessings from the Lord because of the faithfulness and dedication of our church family.

  Fellowship among the saints is important at First Baptist.  It is our custom to enjoy good meals and fellowship as often as possible.  Much of our church family enjoys athletic activities both in church fellowship and in community leagues.

  We proclaim the Bible as the divinely inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God.  Salvation is by grace alone through man's faith in Jesus Christ as the living Lord.  Baptism is by immersion only after one has publicly professed faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.   First Baptist Church is affiliated with the Riverside Baptist Association, the Tennessee Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention.  We regularly support the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention and its missions around the world both prayerfully and financially.

  If you do not have a church home locally, where you regularly worship and study God's word with other believers, I invite you to visit with us and prayerfully consider becoming a member of First Baptist Church.   If you are not certain that you are a born-again Christian and going to heaven when you die, I would consider it an honor to sit down with you at your convenience and help you to know the way.
